BESS installation, containers to grid
We carry out the complete electrical installation of grid-scale battery energy storage plants for EPC contractors, developers and utilities, from unloading the first battery container to 33 kV and EHV evacuation.
Overview
What we do
Battery storage plants bring a dense mix of equipment onto one site: battery containers, power conversion systems, inverter-duty transformers, kilometres of power and control cable, fire protection and plant controls. EHV Engineers brings one team to install all of it, working to the OEM's method statements and the EPC's schedule.
Our reference is the 57.5 MW / 115 MWh Kalasar BESS in Rajasthan, live since the end of September 2026, where we installed 56 PCS units, 28 battery containers and seven inverter-duty transformers, with about 51 km of cable.
Because we also build and maintain EHV substations, we handle the grid side as well: 33 kV switchgear, power transformers and 220 kV bay integration. After commissioning, we can take the plant into a maintenance contract.

Have you completed a grid-scale BESS project?
Yes. We carried out the electrical installation for the 57.5 MW / 115 MWh Kalasar BESS in Rajasthan for a leading Indian power utility. It has been live since the end of September 2026.
Do you work alongside the battery and PCS OEM?
Yes. Installation and pre-commissioning are done with the OEM's teams and to their method statements, so warranty requirements are met.
Can you also install SVGs and harmonic filters?
Yes. We install static var generators and harmonic filters, and have done so for Continuum, Tata Power and ACME Solar.
